‘PRINCE’S LAST YEAR’ TO BE CHRONICLED IN NEW DOCUMENTARY

Lincoln Square Productions will offer all-new insight into the final twelve months of Prince’s life, chronicling a more intimate time in the iconic singer’s career in a new documentary titled Prince’s Last Year.

The project will be taking a look at the most important moments of the music icon’s last year, from his secret performance at the White House during the Obama era, to his final tour, Piano & a Microphone, leading up to his April 2016 death at the age of 57 from an accidental opioid overdose.

The Supreme Court has granted the Trump administration permission to reinstate the third version of his controversial travel ban

The travel ban affects citizens residing in six predominantly Muslim countries- Iran, Libya, Syria, Yemen, Somalia and Chad- from entering the United States, unless they have a relationship to a person or entity residing here.

The Philadelphia Eagles are taking a break from football to help tackle poverty out in Los Angeles.

Wide receivers Torrey Smith and Mack Hollins, linebackers Nigel Bradham and Najee Goode, cornerback Jalen Mills, tight end Trey Burton and defensive end Steven Means helped build homes for residents of Santa Ana.

A ‘FOUR BROTHERS’ SEQUEL IS ON THE WAY

Tyrese may not be returning to the Fast & Furious franchise as Roman Pearce, but apparently he is planning to reprise another one of his other movie roles. According to the actor, Paramount is working on a sequel to the 2005 blockbuster, Four Brothers, and Tyrese will return as Angel Mercer.

The original Four Brothers featured Tyrese, Mark Wahlberg, Andre 3000, and Garrett Hedland. The film told the story of four orphaned brothers who were in search of the man who killed their foster mother.

Drugstore operator CVS is making a $69 billion offer for insurer Aetna as it tries to position itself as a one-stop shop for Americans’ health care needs with prescription drugs, clinics and insurance plans to cover those goods and services.

Clap it up for Mr. Ladies Love Cool James himself, for receiving his flowers while he’s still here. It would appear as if LL Cool J’s career is all about breaking boundaries. Saturday evening (Dec. 2) LL became the first rapper to earn the prestigious Kennedy Center Honor, which is America’s highest achievement for any performer.

Along with LL Cool J, singer-songwriter Lionel Richie, Gloria Estefan, and more were all on hand to receive their award at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

Colorado parents say their 10-year-old daughter committed suicide over video of a fight with an alleged bully. Ashawnty Davis was only in fifth grade.

At the end of October, she was involved in a fight at school. Her mother claims her daughter was confronting a bully.

They say it was her first fight and it was recorded by another student and posted on an app called Musical.ly.

The girl’s family believes she is a victim of “bullycide,” a term used after someone takes his or her own life because of bullying.

NFL TO DONATE MILLIONS TO SOCIAL JUSTICE FUND IN ATTEMPT TO END NATIONAL ANTHEM PROTESTS

The NFL has reportedly proposed to partner with NFL players to create social change; the football league will donate $89 million to causes deemed important by the African-American community, according to ESPN.

The NFL hopes the proposal will effectively end the controversial national anthem protest, which was originally started by former San Francisco 49ers quarterback, Colin Kaepernick last year.

Congrats to Colin Kaepernick who has received Sports Illustrated’s Muhammad Ali Legacy Award.

Sports Illustrated said Kaepernick is getting this recognition “for his steadfastness in the fight for social justice” and “for his adherence to his beliefs no matter the cost.”

Mariah Carey has reportedly reached a financial settlement worth millions with her former fiancé James Packer. The two, who had announced their engagement in January 2016, went their separate ways in October 2016. According to the outlet’s sources, the singer and Australian businessman settled a few months ago, and Carey received $5 – $10 million dollars,  for moving to L.A. to be with her ex-fiancé.

Although Carey didn’t receive the 50 million she requested, our glitter girl still kept her $10 million engagement ring.

A NEW SCHOOL WILL BE BUILT IN QUINCY JONES’ HONOR

In celebration of Global Day of Giving/Giving yesterday, organization In a Perfect World (IAPW) has announced that it is launching a fundraising drive to build a school in honor of industry icon Quincy Jones. To be located in a country of Jones’ choosing, the school will be erected in 2018.

IAPW has thus far built 28 schools — including two in honor of Prince — in countries such as Malawi, Mali, Senegal, Haiti and Nicaragua.

LL COOL J IS NOW A HARVARD UNIVERSITY GRAD

Hip-hop has yet another Ivy League graduate. LL Cool J recently revealed on Instagram that he just completed a program at Harvard Business School.

According to the lip licking king, he has accepted his certificate from Harvard’s Entertainment Media and Sports Program. The course reportedly teaches students how to launch and manage creative products and portfolios.
