The film follows Cardi’s character Amber, a crook, who has to hide out from the cops and her former gang by disguising herself as an elderly woman after a heist goes wrong.

The ‘WAP’ superstar has yet to release any comments about her new role, but we’re hearing that this isn’t her only upcoming role.

No word on when the film will be released, but we’ll definitely be checking the film out.

Just like most things in history, Black folks have managed to turn something monotonous and dull into something creative and fun.

Along with honoring the achievements of great African Americans throughout history this month, February is also observed to celebrate #28DaysOfBlackCosplay. People dress up as their favorite character or cosplayer, all while letting their melanin drip — cause why not.

https://twitter.com/BUBBLYZELDA/status/1223752481869647874

Each day of the month has a different theme:

It’s an annual social media event that lasts throughout all 28 days of February, created by cosplayer Chaka Cumberbatch (also known as Princess Mentality) to highlight and celebrate the existence of black cosplayers. This is done by sharing photos of black cosplayers to social media and tagging them #28DaysOfBlackCosplay.” -Bell Of Souls

There’s still about 8 days left for you to find a costume. Hit the flip for some inspiration.

7 Reasons Why You Would Not Want to be Apart of The Royal Family

The Duke And Duchess Of Sussex Arrive In Australia

Source: Newspix / Getty

Earlier this week, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle shocked the world after announcing that they would be stepping back from their Royal duties to focus on becoming financially independent. While many have their own speculations for their departure, the truth is that royal life isn’t as glamours as it appears to be. Here are 7 reasons why you would not want to be apart of the royal family.

1. Whatever the Queen Says Goes

Queen Elizebeth is the head honcho of the United Kingdom. Everyone who graces her presence is expected to rise when she stands, and when she enters or exits a room. Men are also required to bow their heads when greeting the Queen. It sounds like someone needs to get over themselves.

2. No Royal PDA

Public displays of affection are looked down upon in the royal palace. Senior members of the royal family technically are not forbidden to engage in PDA. However, they are strongly urged to use their better judgment when interacting with each other in public.

3. No Royal Nicknames

When Kate Middleton swore in as the Duchess of Cambridge, she was required to be addressed by her full given name, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge.

4. Nothing is Done Without the Queen’s Approval

Talk about a control freak! The Queen is said to approve all of her children’s and grandchildren’s marriage union under the Royal Marriage Act of 1772. If asking for your grandmother’s permission to love isn’t enough, wedding gowns also require the Queen’s approval.

5. You Have to Maintain a Strict Royal Diet

Food is also regulated in the royal family. Shellfish is one of the many foods that is never served because it could lead to food poisoning and allergic reactions.

6. Dinner Parties Are No longer fun

Think you could let loose at family dinner parties, think again. Dinner parties are extremely formal and involve tons of protocol. The Queen carefully crafts a schedule for the entire night.

7. Even Some Words Are Off-limits

When you are apart of the royal family, you have to watch what you say. A “toilet” should always be referred to as a “lavatory

Joel Embiid may not be able to suit up against the Celtics this coming Thursday after getting a gruesome finger injury during last night’s game against Oklahoma City Thunder.

The 7-foot power forward dislocated his ring finger while guarding Steven Adams just a few minutes into the first quarter and, it was downright nasty!

Don’t believe us? Just take a look for yourself, but tread lightly if you’re easily grossed out.

While Embiid was able to return to the game to assist the Sixers in their 120-113 victory, he may face the possibility of sitting out of Thursday’s game due to a problem with his ligaments.

“I want to play. It’s a big game. Last time we played them, we had great success, but at the end of the day, whatever they want me to do,” said Embiid during a postgame interview.

There has been no official word yet on whether Embiid will definitely be sitting out for the Sixers’ matchup against the Celtics.

The couple first got Ellen’s attention after Austin, an LGBTQ+ influencer, asked both DeGeneres and Chrissy Teigen to be a part of their wedding by walking her down the aisle via Tweeter.

Austin explained that her parents did not approve of her marriage to Sulsenti and as a result, refused to attend her big day.

“My mom was terrible. I’ve been out for almost five years now and, she has said everything you can think of under the sun,” said the Philadelphia native.

DeGeneres, in her normal generous fashion, featured the tweet on her show in a segment called “Show Me Your Tweets,” where she later surprised the couple by inviting them on stage to reenact their engagement with family.

Although DeGeneres said that she was unable to attend the wedding, she offered the couple a cardboard cutout of herself, along with a $25,000 check from Shutterfly to supply their open bar.

Ellen ended the segment by giving words of encouragement to the couple and those who may be experiencing similar circumstances.

“You are loved by so many people and, we love you for who you are exactly.”

Ellen has been an advocate for the LGBTQ+ community since 1977 when she first came out in her self-titled sitcom Ellen.

Black people could not have been more proud than the day we all witnessed America swore in it’s first African American President. 2.Barack tearing up while talking about Michelle during his farewell speech
The inaugural ball was just one of many times Barack publically praised Michelle. During the end of his term, the 44th president of the United States made sure Americans understood that behind every great man is a strong woman.

5 Things That Happened On Beyonce’s Lion King Documentary, “The Making of the Gift”

Source: Disney / Disney

Yesterday Beyonce surprised us with her latest documentary, “The Making of the Gift” just one day after releasing the teaser for the ABC special.

Related: Philly Rapper Tierra Whack Featured On Beyoncé’s Lion King Soundtrack

The hour-long documentary takes fans behind the scenes for the making of her Lion King-inspired album, The Gift.

This documentary is not only about Beyonce’s creative process in producing what she calls her love letter to Africa. It also takes viewers on a spiritual journey to love, unity, and self-acceptance.

Here are 5 things we learned while watching Beyonce’s documentary:

1. Blue Ivy is a star on the rise

Blue Ivy isn’t your average 7-year-old. The eldest of Beyonce’s three children stole the show during an intimate scene with her mother, where she is seen recording lyrics for the track, “Brown Skin Girl.”

2. Kelly Rowland Admits being insecure About Her Brown Skin

In discussing her love for the song, “Brown Skin Girls, Kelly shares that she didn’t always love her skin while on the red carpet for The Lion King. The singer admits that she didn’t truly embrace who she was until Tina Knowles made her realize the beauty of being in her skin.

https://www.instagram.com/p/B2fwlDhBdU0/?igshid=goovqbw0usmb

3. Beyonce shares rare footage of Rumi and Sir

It’s not every day that Beyonce let us into her personal life. The documentary shares glimpses of Beyonce with her family as she works to balance mommy duties and her career.

4. A new scene was added to the remake of the Lion King to embody female empowerment

Not only do girls run the world, but female lions do too. Beyonce explains that she worked with film directors to create scenes that center around female empowerment. One of which includes the scene where Nila call on the other female lions to team up with Simba to help defeat Scar and reclaim his kingdom.

5. Philly’s very own Tierra Whack makes a cameo

We couldn’t end this article without giving a big up to Tierra Whack for being featured on the special. The 24-year-old rapper showed her creative process behind creating her verse for the song “My Power,” also featuring African artist Nija.

Eagles Fans Scuffle With 76ers Player Mike Scott Prior To Kick Off

2017 NFL Draft

Source: Mitchell Leff / Getty

Philadelphia is home of the Philly cheesesteak and Rocky Statue.

It’s also apparently where you go if you want to get punched for rocking any opposing sports team’s jersey on game day.

Related: Morris Chestnut On The Eagles, Being Mary Jane and John Singleton

That is exactly what happened this past Sunday when 76ers’ forward, Mike Scott showed up to the Eagles game opener wearing a Washington Redskins Jersey.

As shown in the video, Scott is seen being boo’ed during the tailgate before coming to blows with several fans in what appears to be friendly trash-talking gone wrong.

You can even hear one fan on video saying, ” Mike, this is just one fight you will not win.”

Now if there’s one thing you shouldn’t do, it’s come between Philadelphia fans and their favorite sports team. But when did we lose the brotherly love in good ole’ fashion sportsmanship?

This isn’t the first time that our fans have been known to get unruly during games.

A similar incident happened in 1983 where a redskins fan was beaten up twice for dressing up as an Indian during another Redskins-Eagles lineup.

Let’s not forget to mention the year two Phillies fans made news after being escorted from the ballpark for purposely vomiting on an off-duty police officer and his 11-year-old daughter.

While there’s no word on whether Scott will be penalized for Sunday’s altercation, Philadelphia continues to hold down the fort as the worst loyal sports fans.

Here’s how twitter reacted to yesterday’s fight:
