A Colorado Woman was convicted of murdering her two children on Tuesday. Kelli Lynn Murphy, 43, of Castle Rock was found guilty of two counts each of first degree murder. Murphy smothered her 6 year old daughter and 9 year old son back in May 0f 2011 after her and her husband filed for divorce. Murphy claims after trying to kill herself, she woke up and found her children dead, and doesn’t remember what happened.
Her lawyer claims her intent was to kill herself, not her children, but backed out.
