A new study suggest that plunking your children down in front of TV or computer screens can cause developmental and physical harm. A group of pediatricians published a paper this week asking that government officials and doctors set limits on the amount of time children spend in front of screens, both TV and mobile phones, and that children under the age of three should not spend any time at all!
Too much TV time can increased risk of obesity and heart problems. Children under the age of three are more vulnerable because their brains are in a critical development stage. Children over the age of 16 should be limited to only two hours of screen time.
Instead of letting your kids spend hours in front of the the TV screen, try sending them outside to play.
