Center Spencer Hawes, demoted to a reserve role, responded with 19 points,  eight rebounds, and three blocks as the 76ers (30-27) got a strong effort from  their reserves in a 107-88 victory over the New Jersey Nets (21-39) Tuesday  night at the Prudential Center.

Hawes and Evan Turner (two points) were benched before the game in favor of  Jodie Meeks and rookie Nik Vucevic.

The victory ended a four- game losing streak for the Sixers, who won’t get  much time to enjoy the victory. After the game they were on a charter to Toronto  for a game Wednesday against the Raptors.

When they played each other last week, the Raptors held the Sixers to 22  second-half points – including seven points in the third quarter – on the way to  a 21-point victory

Hawes was not the only reserve to have a good game. Lou Williams came off the  bench to lead the Sixers with 20. Reserve forward Thaddeus Young added 19  points.

Kris Humphries led the Nets with 20 points and 10 rebounds.
