In Rihanna’s new video for “Man Down,” the singer heads to Jamaica, where she plays a flirty island girl who rides her bike through her neighborhood, mingles with her elders and friends, sips on her Vita Coco coconut water before journeying to a nightclub where she meets a man.

Their harmless dancing turns sour when he follows her out into a dark alley, ignores all her refusals to his advances, and assaults her in a way that lets the mind wander.
